SAVE Burton Hope

Burton HOPE has been notified by the council that their lease is not going to be renewed, forcing the charity to leave its home. The current venue, Crossley House, situated near to Burton Market Hall, is perfect for the work that Burton HOPE does, providing an easily accessible central location for those in need in our town. The charity has strong support from surrounding businesses in the area and is very well recognised for the brilliant work they do for those in need.

What can you do to help?

Please sign the petition to help save this wonderful charity and allow them to continue the important work they undertake in our community in Crossley House. With your help Burton HOPE can continue supporting people, protecting dignity, and making sure no one in Burton-on-Trent feels alone or abandoned during difficult times.

By signing, you are saying that you wish East Staffordshire Borough Council to make a U-turn on the decision to remove Burton HOPE from Crossley House.

What is Burton HOPE?

Burton HOPE is a local homeless charity, the largest food bank in East Staffordshire and a support centre, dedicated to assisting people in need across Burton-on-Trent and beyond. The organisation works closely with individuals who often feel forgotten and gives them a sense of belonging.

The charity is run totally by a huge number of unpaid volunteers, led by its chair, John Anderson, who wanted to give something back to a community that is facing real and growing challenges. After seeing how hard life can be for people struggling day to day, he helped build Burton HOPE into an organisation that focuses on action, dignity, and support for those who need it most.

Burton HOPE was the first organisation in Staffordshire to be awarded The Kings Award for Voluntary Service.
Burton HOPE has become an integral part of Burton.

Let’s not lose it.

Please ensure your postcode is correct when signing because petitions often have an out of area postcode as default. Only East Staffordshire postcodes will count.
